If you have any doubt about the condition of your home or business, it's strongly advised to request an electrician enrolled on an authorised competent person scheme (CPS) to inspect your installation, and if needed provide you with an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).
The EICR ensures you meet rigorously tested guidelines demonstrating that your property's electrical system will work to spec and save lives should things go wrong. This is vital for some insurance firms who may otherwise refuse to pay out in a property damage claim.
